It only took us about 2 weeks to decide and plan to go holiday for holiday.
Our holiday started on the next day of my final paper. Seriously, I wasn't concerntrating studying for my exam, but luckily I passed my exam.
We wanted a different holiday. We chose a free & easy tour. we bought air tickets & accomodation from the tour agency and we planned our holiday plan for the 5 days. Fortunately, we have a Taiwanese friend-Winnie who can bring us along on our first two days.
Day 1:
We touched down at Taoyuan airport at 6.30pm and the tour agency arranged a transaport transfer to our hotel from the airport. The journey from Taoyuan to Taipei is about 50 mins-1 hr. We were exhausted when we reached the hotel.
But, after checking in our hotel and a short break, Winnie has reached the hotel lobby to meet us already. She brought us to Shilin Night Market to have our dinner. She brought us to Shilin Night Market by bus. It's a great experience to take public transaport . I always love to accommodates into native's life. I guess only bag packers or free & easy tour can do it.
We had our dinner from the beginning of the night market until the end of the street.
We had our plan for the dinner at Shilin Night Market. We share our food, so that we can get to taste as much delicacies as possible.
We had steamed Vegie Gyoza, Black Pepper Biscult, Bubble Tea, Ah-Zhong Oyster Mee Sua. Winnie brought us to eat famouse Ah Zhong Oyster Mee Sua. It's very tastey, we had Iced beancurd for our desserts. We wanted to eat the chicken cutlet, Winnie brought us to buy a large chicken cutlet at the back of the market, instead of the long-Q Hao Da Chicken Cutlet. It tasted nice too and it's very huge. Both me & Zhen shared one.
We rushed to take the last train back to our hotel. Their train station and train are very different form Singapore. There are limited seats but not much crowd. The passengers are very orderly in manner. They keep to their right on escalators, Q-up by the side of the platform while waiting for the train. Singapore announces in English, Mandarin, Malay and Indian languages. Taiwan announces in Mandarin, English and Taiwanese (台语).
Day 2:
We had a half day guided tour. The tour guide fetched us from our hotel in her MPV. We went to the museums and Princess Mao place. To us, these wasn't facinate us, what we wanted is to shop shop shop!
We went to Cash Box KTV for 3 hrs after lunch.
We went to Modern Toilet theme restaurant for dinner. The interior design of the restaurant are decorated with bathtubds and toilet bowls. Even the food are contained in the toilet bowl designed pots and plates. The ice cream looks like a poo in a toilet bowl.
The food taste alright, it is the theme that attract tourists here. We even bought the souvenirs back.
It's already dark outside after dinner, we continued shopping at Ximending and went back hotel by taxi. It is inexpensive and easy to get taxi in Taipei.
Day 3:
The next morning, we hired a driver to drive us to Leofoo Village at Hsin Chu. I wonder if it was a Monday or because of the low temperature, there wasn't much visitors.Our driver was very kind to buy the admission tickets in promotion price for us before hand.

The park doesn't have much visitors. The entrance was empty. The weather was very cold when the wind blew early in the morning.
The park was very big and segregated by different themes.

We didn't know that this ride could get us this wet. We didn't prepare any spare clothes and we have to walk in this cold weather.
Next, we head to nearby restaurant to have our dinner.
Our Driver fetched us to early in the morning after our breakfast in hotel.
We visited Yeh Liu Geographical Park.
Day 5: We had our last minute shopping at Mirama Shopping mall and visited Hello Kitty Sweet Cafe at Da An Road. We went back to our hotel and our driver fetched us to Taoyuan Airport for our flight back to Singapore.
